Is there a "right" time to leave a job? 🤔

I just did that. I left one of my jobs. I had the honor of building and leading Business Support Services in EY's Europe West region for the past three years.

At the end of June, I handed the reins over to three wonderful colleagues - Els, Catherine and Catia - who will co-lead this regional collaboration.

Starting a new role and pouring your energy into building something is a bit like raising a child. You nurture it, it grows, and so do you.

You acquire new skills, open new doors, and often, you forge your own path without a roadmap. It's exciting! I was fortunate to have a fantastic team to help me connect the dots and move things forward, step by step.

But here's where the analogy diverges: sometimes, what you've built needs fresh energy – and so do you.

Not because things went wrong, quite the opposite. It's because things thrived, and now it's time for the next chapter with fresh perspectives and new energies.

I'm very proud of the team we assembled and the collaborative environment we created.

My personal highlights are the great discussions and feedback we received on our technology trainings, GenAI sessions, and EY Badge Coffees.

Last week, I bid farewell to the team during our final monthly call. It was bittersweet, but I'm excited to watch them continue their journey. 💫 The adventure continues for me as well, managing change and driving innovation in EY.

But first - it's time to enjoy some summer days in this part of the globe. Have a wonderful time off everyone ☀️

P.S.: Have you ever felt the pull to move on from a role, even when things were going well?
