Are we sacrificing our unique voice for efficiency?

I've worked in fast-paced environments for over 17 years, constantly adapting to new technology and ways of doing things. I love the challenge and excitement of change, but lately, it's been different.

I remember a few months ago, I was working on a piece of communication at work. I decided to use a Generative AI writing tool to speed things up.

The tool quickly generated a draft, filled with impressive words and phrases. But as I read it, it sounded like a robot wrote it, not me.

After this, I got so caught up in playing with all the different options that I lost track of what I actually wanted to say. And just like that, my own voice disappeared.

So, what did I do? I took a break and stepped away from the computer for a few minutes.

I imagined myself in a different place, like being outside surrounded by brightly colored flowers. I completely reshuffled the AI-generated draft until it sounded like a real person: me.

This experience was a wake-up call. Technology can be great, but it's easy to get distracted by all the new AI tools and lose sight of what I really want to say.

Finding a balance is key – using these tools to my advantage while staying focused and true to myself. That's when I get a supercharged result.⚡

How are you finding your focus in the midst of all the noise?
